Hand woven, this blue stole has a warp of 80% silk and 20% wool, and a custom twined weft of 50% silk, 25% rayon, and 25% cotton. The lining, a manufactured 100% silk Habatoi, is hand painted specifically for this piece. The crosses are inlaid with variegated hand-dyed silk, cotton and metallic threads. The stole measures 5 1/2" by 120", including a 9" fringe, which can be trimmed to suit. There is a lovely tassle at the center of the back and the piece is elegantly shaped at the neck for an excellent fit. The finish work on the lining is beautifully hand sewn.
